Description
Surrender.pale like the first snow.
cold as the tempting, tentative touch,
of the shivering frost.
dim like the early morning -
smooth, and sugary,
like the lingering taste of chocolate.
warm, as only a spring morning can be,
delicate like a child's fingers.
surrender.
surrender me.
cool like the blade of a dagger.

Looks like the cover to a romance novel. And hey, the man looks very "manly" too. Still good lookin' just manly at the same time.... Nicely done.

seems a bit off... still, it's bloody impressive!

....but why i dont see the man is "manly"?....the birds dont look like birds, and i
think there r too much birds in this pic....
btw, do u draw according the stories, or do u make up stories according to ur drawings?

I love the way you do your paintings - there are areas full of beautifull well executed detail but also areas that are quite vague. It works wonderfully! The clothes are really impressive. The woman's dress is beautifull but the man's coat is at least equally impressive, maybe even better
Your style somewhat reminds me of Jeff Easley, who is one of my all time favourite artists - your transitions are silk smooth and the textures are really pleasing.
However, I have a few points that I would like to share: first of, as noted before, the hands are a bit off. Her right hand, holding the dagger, could actually be like it is, if the dagger's handle is really curved. But I think it is still a little weird.
The other hand is good except for the pinkie - I think it is a little too big and the posture of the hand accentuates and draws attention to it. Lastly, the dress has a point in it's hemline that looks a bit unnatural. Though, the rest of the hemline, the "tail", looks really good resting on the ground.
Overall, a really good painting - I am looking forward to seeing your next one

But I must say I'm confused? - why have you chosen to pinch the daggers so tightly between the mans back and the edge of the frame? my focus keeps wanting to fall off the edge of your pic
did you try having the characters on the other side of the canvas - with the background space drawing your eye towards the daggers in the right of center?...
just my 2c

It's like a demoniac aura surrounding them!
Beautiful as always, Linda!
