Description
She said,"The moon has fallen into a sea of dirt, and all that I loved is gone."
They said,
"There is still the sea. The clouds. The earth."
She said,
"The ground slides, filthy and bedraggled, into the melting earth, and all that I loved is gone."
They said,
"There is still the sea. The clouds."
She said,
"The sea is but a stench - it devours but it does not live. All that I loved... is gone."
They said,
"But the clouds. We still have the clouds."
She said,
"The clouds are veils of sulphur and acid rain."
They said,
"We love the rain."
She said,
"All that I loved is gone."

This is just beautiful.
Really awesome work.
And it's a nice poem to boot.
I love your texturing and the subtle light of this piece, the dark waters, sky turning dark for the storm to come..
For some reason I feel the woman is a bit angry or something?
Anyways.. if I could I'd rate it +10 alone.

I love the way the dress, waves and fish all swirl at the bottom, the composition lends the eye to a sense of chaos... and the girl - something about the girl. once beautiful perhaps but sullen now - the colour suits the mood beautifully... heh and I love the way the wedding dress now looks like a manky fishwives outfit.
PLEASE fix the larger version link!

I hope one day you find the time to make tutorials for struggling artists like me. I don't how you make things refined like you do. The theme of your work, composition and allure all are congruent with each other, and I have only seen excellent pieces from you. You might not see this, but are you working as an artist right now? or were?

And Crono: I'm working as a colourist for Dreamwave right now, but all of my painted stuff is really for my own enjoyment (though I'd love to publish a book sometime soon, let's see what I'll do about that). If you want my help, I'm always available at my forums at enayla.com =)

i've been away from this site for about 4 months and in that breadth of time your work has matured by incredible degrees. i never thought this possible, as i'd already thought you were as good as anyone can get... amazing.

The girl's expression, her dress, the water, the fish.
I'm in awe.
I can't even think of a way to express how deeply gorgeous this is.
Her hair is marvelous, I love it, and I can't get over her eyes and the emotion her face shows. She looks dangerous, perfectly so.
The poem is absolutely beautiful, as well. It definitely adds impact to the piece. I don't think it would have quite as much meaning if it weren't for the poem.
Still, it would be just as gorgeous.
You're easilly my favorite artist here. I'll be sure to leave comments about your other works.
