Description

So, we've got this thread at my forums ( http://enayla.com ) where we're posting photos of ourselves, and then anyone can paint a portrait using them as reference. It's lots of fun, but I haven't had the time to do one until tonight, when I lost inspiration for the picture I -should- work on.

So I painted Katheryn

For anyone that doesn't know, Beth is a wonderful artist, and an equally wonderful person - and to add to that, she's stunning as well. Ain't life a bitch? ;]

So, here we go. Reference shot used was this:

http://div.dyndns.org/EK/longhair5.jpg
but in all honesty, I've seen lots of pictures of her from before (and I looked at lots of them, too, to get her features right), so if you want to know what I've based it on, it's all images she's posted of herself that I've seen :]

Very impressive. I like the realism.
One complaint though, the nose seems to dissapear into the face at the point. Maybe just give it a little more contrast?

clap clap clap :) Wow, you really turned a decent girl into a Fantasy Goddess in the clap of your hands! Did you learn from the renaissance artists? I see a little of that in here. As usual, fabulous...

This is a gift for me, why?, because I'm fucking tired of "simple copyâ„¢" portraits... and this is.. simply great, you really know how to catch 'beauty' and emphasize it at its best, arf... at this point we should call you The Visual Seduction Goddess or something

Aw, thank you everyone I am quite happy with how this came out, but I think it's all because Beth has such fascinating features, and because I got caught up in - and obsessed with - drawing the hair.

And yes, I think she was quite happy with it :] That was all I needed to make _me_ happy.

Truly breathtaking! This is a really great painting of her, you captured all her features perfectly.. now she can be a fantasy godess captured for a lifetime too.. she must have loved this painting.
I love how you seem to have gotten obsessed with the hair, because that is awesomely rendered!
Perfect lighting, skintones and shading.. as usual.
If I could I'd rate this a +15 ;)
