Description

So, yes, I've used a lot of references. Never drawn a gun, a city, or an arm in that position before - it's interesting to have done it :) In fact, I learned a whole lot through doing it and now I feel all satisfied

Ooo, would also like to alert everyone to a rather simple tutorial on how to paint noses that I've added to the gallery section of http://www.furiae.com

Yay, new Enayla pic :) Overall, very cool. I think the hand looks a little wonky, especially the trigger finger which looks like it's missing a joint... His/her face and hair are amazingly gorgeous! The buildings and the eair-piece are really nice, especially if you've never drawn such things before!

love the jacket, lighting - ooh and especially the steam rising off the jacket in the rain. very real/surreal :p - but yeah I have to agree with damien. The trigger fingers fingernail is in the right place, but the rest of the finger follows the same line as all the others, it probably should have another knuckle which overlaps them slightly? gawd.... I feel so shamed giving you of all people advice :p

this is amazing but i feel it would give a more realistic feel if the gun weren't pointing DIRECTLY at the focus point and just maybe 5 degrees to the side, so as the arm isn't curved and she doesn't look so 'gangsta' :p

I love it when artists challenge themselves. This is so very very different in many ways from your other works. I normally don't comment on any elite's work much anymore, but I just had to post to encourage you to keep trying new things.

Oh and very nice job on the tutorial. I have yet to see one on the subject of a nose before this.

Learning and teaching all in one day, I am envious.

Your unique style is still there, but I see what you mean about the atmospheric diversion. Very good. And satisfaction is always the best end result.

Tjena Linda!
Love your work
Dont know if you use any reference photos, this is a really hard setting with hands in perspective. I think you managed it good. If you remove the fingernail on the triggerfinger I think it will work(you are missing one knuckle).

I especially like how the blue shadowing on her face is the same blue-grey in the sky. I also love that subtle aura edging her shoulders and arms; it really brings her into the foreground well. Keep up the good work.

Everybody is criticizing this 'fingernail' on the trigger finger, but to me, it doesn't look like there is a fingernail there at all. In other words, to me it looks like the very last joint section of the trigger finger is hidden, and the part we can see is the middle section.
After all, it's not like Enalya to make a serious anatomical error :) Another brilliant piece!

I must say, I don't see any of the criticisms you've recieved so far, it all looks spot on to me. maybe the hand is too large or too podgey, but In my opinion thios pic is freakin awesome +5, totally slick, totally freaking awesome.

Very cool pic. The perspective on the hand does look weird. It looks as though it should be coming straight out from the shoulder. If you were to move the hand in-line with the shoulder and lower it a little, but keep the current perspective, it would look awesome. Great work overall!

Love the dark, somber mood and the haughty tilt of his head. The circle of smoke from the gun is also a cool touch. However, I'm just a little uncomfortable looking at the hand and the gun, as if he's just holding the barrel and the body of gun isn't present. Of course, I could wrong based on what kind of gun it is but...overall, fantastic work again!

Enalya at her best. :) You should win the nobel prize for art or something. It's all so good! You may not know it but I 'rekon you'll be remembered as a pioneer and great in the field. ;) Lovely title too. Love it!

the guns nice but the hand should curve around it a bit more to the butt of the it. holding it more relax but steady. right there it seems like she was holding an icecream cone and someone droped a gun into her hand. I'd try to do a few ball and stick figures in position and adjust it there instead of it coming out to look a bit awkward like it is here.

Lovely hair bulidlings, rain, and smoke.

oh the with hte fingers, you can add shadow to them and lay them over top of eachther just a touch and add more perspective to it to make it curver around more smoothly

ok, this may not be the highlight of the artwork but i love her "kick-ass" face! Like Angelina Jolie's and Michelle Rodriguez's...Well, the face ain't obviously the only good thing bout ur artwork..IT'S THE WHOLE THING!!

Hey, nice work! I especially like the face... I'd wish i could do it myself ;) About the arm and the hand... they're kinda strange, but not that horrible, so don't worry bout it. The only thing I would have liked is a bit more rain... the few lines wich stand for the rain aren't really satisfying.. But, in overall, really really nice drawing. +4
Keep it up!

It reminds me of the book Neuromancer of William gibson. This drawing portraits the exact feeling of that book to me. I liked the book, so I like the drawingn too. Very nice!

haha! seems alot of people here have a problem with the hand holding the gun! ok, my critique on the hand would be that i think her pinky finger is way too wide(its one of the thickest fingers there) and that her thumb comes across a little....well too little. also her thumb nail doesnt come across very feminine, unless that was your intention. otherwize most of the other critiques on the hand in my opinion arent that much of a problem to me.

Great job on her face!!!!!!

I think that the hair should have been more detailled but it's ok, I like in this way! :)
