Songs under the apple tree.
Red like the apple: lips, heart, robins - the sun that glows bright like a lantern before it sets. Pale olive, the feet, the hands, the tips of the bird's wings - and shadows cast by bright yellow trees across the lake.
And in her heart, she knew - in its inner, bright-redness, that today was the day - today it would rain and the droplets would part like a curtain. To let him approach.

Having said that,I'd like to point out that I get a little confused bout the light direction in this piece....seems there are different sources of light on her face and the rest of her body....having said that.... I think the best part of this artwork is its impeccable fabric rendering.

I can't believe that this picture was drawn, the skirt and the feet are just too real.

There's something weird about the lighting, especially at the bottom half. She looks like she's lit by white light, but her face and chest is more yellow, and the background clearly suggest it's autumn, or maybe sunset or whatever, which gets confusing.

But yes, the leaf shadows that fall on her don't look quite right. I think that the image has such soft lighting, but the shadows of the leaves are too harsh. But that's my only crit, the image is, of course, another masterpiece.

I think her leg is bit weird. It looks like the foot is not connected to it. The feet are really nice by the way.
There are many strong light sources around but why no highlights/shine on the hair?
The bird on the left, it has uneven wings...one is smaller than the other or the way they open is different.
I guess thats about all that hasn't been mentioned in other places.

I know it is supposed good to have critique so one can improve. I really understand that but sometimes I think art should just "be". I don't think it always about whether something is "photorealistic" or "painterly" or even having perfect anatomy. I really believe that it should be about the creative process and what evolves from that! It is always going to be subjective. One man's meat is another man's poison!
Just my thoughts on some of the other comments made not just on this piece but overall on this site and other similar art sites

This is a very beautiful painting. One of my all time favorite artist is (and not for anybody elses reasons) Leonardo DeVinci. The reason is the way he formed his figures with logical form and core shadowing technique creating a very 3D look. Some of the Pre Raphealite Artists also did this well. You seem to be following in this direction in an exceptional manner with this piece. I look forward to browsing more of your stuff and seeing new artwork from you.

At any rate, at Epilogue, only comments by artists that have galleries there show up. I've deleted no comments except duplicates for over a year.

By the way, I love the coloring scheme of this work. It generates rich and warm and yet dreamy sort of mood. Feels like you want to have a nap under apple tree on one fine summer day and dream of magic and faeries and beautiful songbirds with lovely water running calm down the stream. Great job! off I go dreaming about your stuff again ::sigh::

She's very talented, even if she paints over a picture, and im sure it's not from bad intentions anyway.
good work.

At first i thought those dark marks were Elven birth marks, until i read some post and they were talking about lead shadows.
Over all very good.

Throwing around accusations only proves your own insecurities. Perhaps your insecurities, You know who you are, spawn from the accusations on your own work?
I doubt Linda has the time to sit here and read ignorant posts insulting her. Every celebrity gets flamed at one point, so I see this as nothing more than jealous trolling.
I salute you, Linda; For being able to tolerate the kind of behavior you have encountered here on GFX. The immaturity is overwhelming.
Beautiful Piece, Linda ^_^
PS Sorry about the rant in your commentary. I've just been wanting a place I can express my view. >.<
